The Dark Knight is one of the most talked-about movies in years. People are talking about it as if it were the last Batman movie, or Superman movie, or any other superhero flick that’s come along since 1960. It’s totally rad that The Dark Knight, which was directed by Henry Cavill, is such a high-energy film with fantastic set design, and cinematography. Dark Knight fans are also incredibly excited for the new Batman, who’s simply amazing. However, there are several reasons that The Dark Knight is such a great film. Here are just a few of them:
The Characters: Who wouldn’t want to be a part of The Dark Knight? Though Heath Ledger’s Joker is easily the most recognizable character of the Dark Knight, the true star of the movie is the Dark Knight himself, The Dark Knight. He’s the master of Gotham, and there’s just no telling what he’s capable of doing. Harvey Spector is the hero of this particular story, and though he’s not as proactive as the Joker, he still gets to save the city on a constant basis. The two share a very interesting dynamic together, and though he suffers from being a bit lacks luster, it makes up for it in spades with a fantastic supporting cast. If you enjoy Batman and villains, but also enjoy a good superhero movie, then this is the perfect film for you.
The Characters: There’s a long list of excellent characters from the Dark Knight to get into, including the likes of Miranda Tate’s Selina Kyle, Marion Cotillard’s Barbara Gordon, and even Tom Hardy’s John Blake. These amazing actors and actresses combine for an amazing cast, which makes these films very humanized and dramatic at the same time. They’ve all undergone real growth and changes since their appearances in the previous Batman films. Some of the youngest actors to ever play the role of Batman have even done a great job, and this is an especially refreshing change. It seems that sometimes older actors are welcome to come back and try something new because filmmakers have learned from their past mistakes.
The storyline: The Dark Knight tells the story of Batman going up against the Joker, who has been transformed into the Dark Knight using his psychological powers. If you haven’t seen the Dark Knight yet, I highly recommend that you do. This is the best installment of the Batman franchise, and it’s all fun and awesome to watch. The dark knight shows us a world we’ve never seen before and gives us a look into the mind of the most powerful dark entity in our world.
The Story: It is rare that a superhero franchise like the Dark Knight has a strong plotline, but that’s what makes it so great. Batman has to deal with many different situations throughout the course of the trilogy, and all of them are compelling. It’s not like other superhero films where the character has to go up against some generic bad guy or someone who has no real motivation for evil. In this film, the villain is so real, we root for him because he actually seems like a nice guy.
Other characters from the Dark Knight trilogy are also fantastic. There is an interesting relationship between The Riddler and Catwoman, and the interesting partnership of the Joker and Batman. The casting of Tom Hardy as The Joker is absolutely hilarious, and while I think Heath Ledger’s Joker is one of the best villains of all time, I think Christian Bale’s Batman is well worth the additional acting that he gets. Bale’s Batman doesn’t seem to have any meltdowns during the entire film, which is unusual for Batman films. These films are normally filled with panic attacks and emotional drama, but the Batman films always seem to be the calmest of the bunch.
It’s no secret that The Dark Knight has received mixed reviews from movie critics. Some people have praised the movie, and others have hated it. Personally, I feel that while some of the special effects do not match up to the best superhero movies made in recent years, the majority of the movie is well-regarded and fun. The Dark Knight is a great caper movie, and while the special effects might not live up to expectations, they are still a big plus.
The Dark Knight is the final installment of the Batman trilogy and the third of the batman v superman films. I really liked the dark comedy that characterized the previous Batman films, but I wasn’t blown away by The Dark Knight. I’m not a huge fan of Batman v Superman, so I was pleasantly surprised by The Dark Knight, but not completely enthused. It’s a good caper movie, and while I wish they had made more of an effort with the special effects, the overall movie is well-acted and funny. For superhero movie fans, this will be a definite must-see film…
