One of the first releases on the Nintendo Wii in North America, Sky Force Reloaded is the follow-up to the highly popular Nintendo DS game. Collecting the original stars, pilots, and vehicles from the ground up, the game gives you a taste of what it’s like to fly an airplane in full HD. The new “enchanted” graphics are sure to excite and please old fans of the original while setting new standards for Nintendo Wii gaming. Sky Force Anniversary will not disappoint, as the controls are intuitive and just as easy to master as the original, if not easier. The added bonus content, including aircraft upgrades and new missions, ensures that this game has more content than any other release on the Wii.
Sky Force Reloaded features many of the same elements as the original, though it offers four times the content as its predecessor. The upgrade packs included give you access to several new planes, three new gunner jobs, two new stunt jets, five rare upgrade cards, two incredibly powerful turbo weapons, and the ability to unlock advanced weaponry. These weapons include two new guns, two laser beams, one homing missile, and one jet engine. There are also two secret jobs to complete, as well as a time trial race to see how long it takes you to complete it. Sky Force Reloaded is just as much fun for hardcore gamers as it is for everyone else, and the thrill of unlocking each of the five cards in the “power pack” makes this game all the more exciting.
Sky Force Reloaded does feature some new ideas though, and the upgrade system makes for a more comprehensive online experience than before. After you have completed a certain number of missions, you will unlock additional aircraft and jobs which further extend the content available in the game. This ensures that you never run out of things to do and that there will always be something to keep you entertained. The new drop rate system lets you know exactly what percentage of your total inventory you need to re-buy if a certain weapon or aircraft becomes unavailable.
Although the graphics have slightly fewer pixels than those in previous games, they are far more detailed and vibrant, and this is a big selling point for Sky Force Reloaded. The gunners no longer look like cardboard cut-outs, thanks to the work of a talented group of artists. They have realistic body shapes, hairstyles, and realistic faces, so you can actually relate to what you are shooting at on a close-up level. As a result, the gunners now feel very alive and real, and this helps to make the entire game far more exciting.
In addition to the new graphical upgrades, the scoring system has also been overhauled. Now, players will earn points throughout the game based on their completion percentage with their individual assignments, as well as based on their team’s success. This new feature encourages people to play the game more often and earn more money by working together as a group, which is one of the many ways this game is different from other co-op games. You can even rack up kills and accumulate points by shooting down waves of enemy aircraft and helicopters, which makes winning more exciting as you see the scores rack up.
There are still quite a few bugs present in Sky Force Reloaded, but this is the case with any game that is still in development. For this reason, we recommend that anyone who wants to play this multiplayer game download the latest version, which is currently available for play on the Internet. We found that it is lacking some key components that many people would enjoy, such as the ability to switch between the gunners and the jets, but it is a fun online game nonetheless.
